As we encounter the eighth week of the Coronavirus shutdown in the East Penn School District, we check in with students Joshua Jones and Reid Scharer, as well as over 20 additional students who contributed written tokens of gratitude, to celebrate Teacher and Nurse Appreciation Week.
This week's episode uses the audio from a Google Meet session. In it, we hear Scharer and Jones give recollections of their favorite teachers and break down some of the qualities that make up an outstanding educator. Sprinkled into the discussion are small accounts written by students that could not be present for the recording of the podcast that detail what teachers have meant to them.
The episode closes with a memory from science teacher Mrs. Kneller that speaks to the lasting impact teachers can have on all of us.
